In December 2004 Park Resorts was marketed to Capital for ₤ 165 million, and also its activities were merged with the GB Holiday Parks The original source business (itself acquired by ABN AMRO for ₤ 105 million just one month previously) to create the second-largest caravan park operator in the UK. The name 'Park Resorts' was preserved as the company name and brand name title. Park Resorts was a vacation park operator with 48 holiday parks located throughout the UK.
